The Hawks will start Jeff Teague, Lou Williams, Kyle Korver, Josh Smith, and Al Horford once again against the Celtics. After a disappointing loss to the Pistons, Larry Drew hopes to get a more energized performance out of his team and avoid the lulls in focus and effort that cost them the win in Detroit. Josh Smith aggravated his hip flexor in Detroit, but is active and has no limitations on his minutes as is Al Horford who sat out practice on Thursday with a hip strain.
Anthony Morrow's hip strain will keep him out once again as will Devin Harris' foot injury, though both appear close to a return as they participated in workouts today. Johan Petro, who stayed in Atlanta with a stomach virus, will be active and available (which could set up a possible Petro/Jason Collins matchup; very exciting).
Drew said the key will be Jeff Teague and that he needs to be in "attack mode" from the start going up against Rajon Rondo. Teague had a poor performance in Detroit with five points, nine assists, and five turnovers. Drew is looking for Jeff to bounce back and get the Hawks offense and defense on track early and jumpstart the Hawks fast-break.
