The Atlanta Hawks look for their fourth straight win as they travel to Madison Square Garden to take on former coach Mike Woodson and the New York Knicks.

USA TODAY Sports

The Atlanta Hawks have won three straight games and will be looking for their fourth when they take on former head coach Mike Woodson and the New York Knicks Sunday at Madison Square Garden. The Hawks have righted the ship somewhat with wins over the Minnesota Timberwolves, Charlotte Bobcats and a thrilling come back win over the Boston Celtics Friday at Philips Arena.

Atlanta is currently in sixth place in the Eastern Conference Standings but just two games back of the Knicks who are in second. New York got off to a great start this season but has scuffled somewhat of late including a 97-80 loss in Philadelphia on Saturday. New York is 5-5 over its last 10 games.

The Hawks have been hammered with injuries of late but got most of the walking wounded back against the Celtics. Devin Harris missed two games with an ankle injury while Al Horford and Zaza Pachulia sat out the win over Charlotte with hamstring and Achilles injuries. Anthony Morrow is unlikely to play with a back injury and Lou Williams is out for the season with an ACL tear in his right knee.

Will be interesting to see how Larry Drew aligns his starting lineup against New York who has been starting Carmelo Anthony at the power forward slot. Woodson deployed both Jason Kidd and Raymond Felton against the Sixers on Saturday and Kyle Korver seems like a good bet to be matched on Kidd should Woodson stick with the same lineup.

The Hawks and Knicks split two matchups last season but New York has the edge in the series of late winning four of five. Atlanta is 5-18 at Madison Square Garden dating back to 2000.

Tip off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. ET and will be televised Nationally on ESPN.
