The shorthanded Atlanta Hawks return home looking to avoid a two-game losing streak when they take on the San Antonio Spurs.

Debby Wong-USA TODAY Sports

The Atlanta Hawks suffered a hard fought 94-89 defeat at the hands of the Brooklyn Nets Friday night. They will have to shake that off quickly as they are right back at it on Saturday when they host the San Antonio Spurs.

The Hawks come into the game with injury concerns particularly to its backcourt. DeShawn Stevenson is out until Monday after receiving a cortisone shot in his knee. Anthony Morrow has missed the last 12 games with hip and back injuries. Lou Williams suffered a scary looking knee injury during the second quarter of Friday night's game. X-Rays were negative but he will undergo further tests and may miss some significant time. Al Horford also sat out Friday's game with a sore hamstring and calf strain. Following the game he indicated that he expects to play on Saturday but his status likely won't be determined until closer to tip off.

San Antonio is riding a three-game winning streak and has the third best record in the Western Conference at 31-11. The Spurs have also beaten the Hawks four of the last five trips to Philips Arena. San Antonio will be down one key player as Manu Ginobli will not play due to a hamstring strain. Slowing down Tony Parker will be key who had 25 points in Friday's win over Golden State.
