Giannis Adetokunbo wants to make NBA move if drafted, according to report

According to a report by DraftExpress, Giannis Adetokunbo is telling teams that he has no interest in being stashed overseas and is looking to make a move to the NBA right away.

The Atlanta Hawks are one of the teams that have been linked to Giannis Adetokunbo leading up to the draft and it has been widely assumed that he would be remaining overseas for at least another season or two. However, a report by DraftExpress' Jonathan Givony suggests that Adetokunbo is looking to make the NBA move right away and has no interest in remaining overseas as a stash player.

Adetokunbo has been widely viewed as a high upside player that simply isn't ready as of yet. Would a team like the Hawks have the patience to bring him over and potentially stash him away in the D-League to develop for a season or two? Do any teams feel that he is that close to being able to play in the NBA?

In my opinion this negatively affects his draft status and while the Hawks are in rebuilding mode, there are other players in the range of where they are picking that would be in better position to help the club right away.
