(SB Nation Atlanta, Kris Willis) The Atlanta Dream announced the signing of eight-year WNBA veteran Jessica Moore on Monday. Moore is a 6-foot-3 forward/center who played with the Connecticut Sun last season. Atlanta will be her fifth different WNBA team in her career. To make room for Moore on the roster Atlanta waived reserve center Courtney Paris on Sunday.

Moore averaged 1.7 points per game in limited action for the Sun last season. Her best year came in 2009 when she averaged 4.8 points and 3.1 rebounds for the Fever. She played her college ball at Connecticut where she averaged 8.4 points and 5.8 rebounds while shooting over 58 percent from the field.

Paris came to Atlanta midway through the 2011 season and provided a spark for the team. She averaged 3.4 points and 3.1 rebounds in 28 games for Atlanta and became something of a fan favorite at Philips Arena. She appeared in four games for Atlanta this season and averaged just over seven minutes a game.
