The last time the Atlanta Hawks faced the Washington Wizards the Hawks escaped with a 101-100 win. The Wizards started the season 0-12 but are at their highest peak this season after winning two out of three and most recently stunning the Miami Heat in Washington. Atlanta bounced defeated the Denver Nuggets 108-104 Wednesday night and have won seven of their last eight games.

Atlanta's Kyle Korver has been battling a sore back and missed Wednesday's game so that he could be with his wife who gave birth to Korver's first child. His status for tonight's game will likely be determined at the team's shootaround on Friday. Devin Harris sat out Thursday's practice with an ankle injury. DeShawn Stevenson also sat out but seems likely to play against the Wizards.

The Wizards have been pushing the ball more of late and have seen good results from it. Washington is still without the services of John Wall and there is no timetable for his return. Trevor Ariza suffered a calf injury in the win over the Heat and is expected to miss about three-weeks.
