John Jenkins' 29 points lead Bakersfield to 109-95 win over L.A.

John Jenkins finished with 29 points to help lead the Bakersfield Jam to a 109-95 win over the L.A. D-Fenders.

The Bakersfield Jam won their game in a row Tuesday night knocking off the L.A. D-Fenders 109-95. The Jam used a huge second quarter in which they outscored the D-Fenders 34-16 to blow the game open.

John Jenkins, playing in the second game with the Jam, scored a game-high 29 points on 10-21 shooting. Jenkins hit 3-8 from beyond-the-arc and was a perfect 6-6 at the free throw line. Former Hawks draft pick Damion James turned in a solid performance with 19 points and 13 boards. Second-round pick Mike Scott is on assignment along with Jenkins but didn't play in the game because of an illness. Phoenix Suns' first-round pick Kendall Marshall started at point guard and logged a double-double with 11 points and 10 assists.

The Defenders were led by Gary Flowers who put down 25 points and also grabbed 12 boards. Jarrid Famous finished with 15 points, 15 boards to go along with five blocks. Courtney Fortson chipped in 15 points and eight assists.

The Jam are now off until Friday when they will play a back-to-back against the Reno Bighorns.
