Josh Smith started the season slow, bounced back to win a Player of the Week award and has struggled again the past couple of games in terms of shot selection and direction on the court, leading to Larry Drew allowing Josh to collect his thoughts on the bench in the fourth quarter in Cleveland Friday night.
Afterwards, it was disclosed that Josh had injured his hip -- and that his status for the game at home against Indiana was up in the air. AJC's Chris Vivlamore asked Josh at the arena earlier tonight if the Hawks star forward would play.
Josh Smith just told me 'We'll see' when I asked if he will play tonight. #ATLHawks

UPDATE: Smith will NOT play, per multiple reports from the arena. He is listed out along with Devin Harris and Anthony Morrow.
Has to be significant for Smith to be out, which is weird because we didn't see the play last night that injured Josh or when it happened, but dude is tough and plays through a lot of pain -- so if he is out due to injury, it must be severe.
With Morrow out, it could mean more time for rookie John Jenkins, who looked good when getting some late minutes in Cleveland when the bodies were falling out for the good guys.
