Josh Smith, Anthony Morrow banged up in win over Cavaliers

Injuries are starting to pile up for the Atlanta Hawks as you can add two more names to the list. Anthony Morrow missed the second half of Friday's win with a strained hip muscle while Josh Smith sat out the entire fourth quarter with what was reported as a strained hip flexor.

Devin Harris didn't even make the trip to Cleveland as he missed his fifth straight game with a foot injury. Prior to the game Ivan Johnson came down with a stomach illness and remained behind at the team hotel. A quick turnaround with a home game against the Pacers on Saturday could have Larry Drew going deep into his bench once again.

Drew resisted the urge to play DeShawn Stevenson who was held out in an effort to be fresh for Saturday's game against the Pacers. Instead Drew turned to the likes of Anthony Tolliver who responded with 13 points off the bench and rookies John Jenkins and Mike Scott. Tolliver scored 11 of his 13 points in the second quarter as the Hawks opened up a lead. Scott played nearly nine minutes in the second quarter while Jenkins scored all five of his points in the fourth. It was the first time this season that either rookie has been thrown into the fire of a game that wasn't already decided.

Johnson, Smith and Morrow's status for Saturday's game likely won't be determined until prior to tipoff. Harris isn't likely to return to action although Drew will have a rested Stevenson at his disposal against Indiana.
