The Miami Heat hit 64 percent of their shots in the first half but carry only a 56-54 lead into the break over the Atlanta Hawks. The Hawks have been able to keep things close thanks to their shooting from beyond-the-arc where they are 7-15. DeShawn Stevenson hit four threes in the first half and Josh Smith connected on all three of his attempts from downtown to keep the pressure on Miami.
Smith leads the Hawks with 13 points, three rebounds and four assists. Stevenson added 12 points while Al Horford has 10 points and five rebounds. Louis Williams added seven points off the bench for the Hawks. LeBron James leads all scorers with 16 points on 7-10 shooting. Dwyane Wade added 10 points while Chris Bosh has eight points and three rebounds.
The Hawks began the game with the small lineup but out rebounded the Heat by one in the first half 17-16. Atlanta is also on top in the turnover department forcing the Heat into eight while only committing five themselves.
