The Atlanta Hawks are riding a season best five game winning streak and look to keep their good fortunes going Wednesday night against the Charlotte Bobcats. Charlotte equaled last season's win total on Saturday with a 108-106 double overtime victory against the Washington Wizards. The Bobcats followed that up with their worst loss in franchise history falling 114-69 in Oklahoma City on Monday.
Atlanta hasn't played since Saturday when they knocked off the Los Angeles Clippers 104-93 to capture their fifth straight win. The Hawks have also climbed to No. 1 in the NBA in defensive efficiency and have surrendered 100 points to an opponent only twice this season. Atlanta has won five straight against the Bobcats and nine of the last 10 played at Philips Arena.
The Hawks held two light days of practice on Monday and Tuesday and are expected to have their full complement of players ready for Wednesday's game. Devin Harris set out Saturday's win over the Clippers with turf toe. Harris didn't participate in either practice but could play against the Bobcats according to Larry Drew. Kyle Korver sat out practice on Tuesday with a sore back while Josh Smith was limited with a sore knee. Both are expected to be in the lineup Wednesday night.
