The Atlanta Hawks are back in action Saturday night when the Dallas Mavericks visit Philips Arena for the final home game of the preseason. Atlanta is 2-3 during the preseason having defeated New Orleans 97-68 on Tuesday. Both of Atlanta's wins have come at Philips Arena.
The biggest news in this game comes from Dallas and the announcement that Dirk Nowitzki will miss six weeks after having knee surgery. Other than Nowitzki, the Mavericks are reasonably healthy as guard Rodrique Beaubois should return to action soon.
Larry Drew has used a different starting lineup in each of the first five preseason games but is expected to refine his approach over the final two. Jeff Teague suffered an ankle injury in the win over New Orleans and his status for Saturday's game isn't known. Other than Teague, the Hawks are relatively healthy now that both DeShawn Stevenson and Devin Harris have returned to action after sitting out with sore knees.
There will be no local TV coverage of the game but Steve Holman will have the call on the radio at 680 The Fan.
Game Date/Time: Saturday, October 20, 7 p.m. ET
Location: Philips Arena, Atlanta, Georgia
