Game Preview:
The Atlanta Hawks begin a difficult stretch that will see them play the Miami Heat and the Chicago Bulls twice each in the next six days. The Hawks enter tonight's game having suffered their first loss of the season on Saturday in Houston. Atlanta enjoyed a much needed off day on Sunday before tonight's matchup with the Heat.
Miami avenged a near upset bid by the Charlotte Bobcats earlier in the week by crushing the Bobcats 129-90 on Sunday. No Miami starter played more than 30 minutes in the win so they should be well rested for tonight's game as well. Transition defense will be key Monday night and a complete effort from the Hawks at both ends of the court will be needed to have a chance for a win.
