Michael Cunningham reports that Josh Smith took part in a lite practice on Saturday and was medically cleared to return to the court on Sunday against the Knicks. The next hurdle for Smith is the mental hurdle that comes along with a knee injury.
"It’s cool," he said. "Obviously I am thinking about it and being more cautious. I’ve got to play with a clear mind. If I think about re-injuring it I probably will."
Once Smith returns to the court, he will do so with a brace on his knee.
"It feels good," Smith said. "I’ve just got to get [accustomed] to that brace. For the most part it felt all right. I think at this point it is going to be what it is. I’m just going to get treatment as much as possible and try to go tomorrow."
While nothing in the article specifically says that Smith will return on Sunday all signs indicate that he will give it a go when the time comes.
