Pre-Game update from the arena.
- AJC writer Ken Sugiura reports that Josh Smith will miss tonight's game with a knee injury that he suffered in the Denver game. Jason Collins will start in his place.
- Sugiura also reports that Kirk Hinrich will make his first start in a Hawks uniform tonight. Hinrich came off the bench in wins over Golden State and Portland. He sat out the loss in Denver with a sore calf.
- The Hawks also announced today that they have recalled Pape Sy from the the Utah Flash of the NBA D-League. Sy played in 23 games while averaging 8 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game. More thoughts on this move later.
- Josh Smith is getting an MRI on his knee tonight.
