According to a report by Yahoo's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Atlanta Hawks and center Jason Collins have agreed to a 1-year contract.
I figured that this would be the first announced signing by the Atlanta Hawks once teams can actually begin making transactions on Friday. Collins played in 49 games last season and made 28 starts when Larry Drew shifted to a big lineup featuring Al Horford at the power forward position and Josh Smith at the small forward. It was a staple of the Hawks defensively in the first round upset over the Magic.
