The Atlanta Hawks Announce 2011-12 Broadcast Schedule

The Atlanta Hawks announced on Tuesday that SportSouth will broadcast 65 regular season games beginning with the December 27 season opener at New Jersey. The only game not on SportSouth will be televised by TNT on January 5 against the Miami Heat.

SportSouth's Hawks package will include all three games against the team's 2010-11 NBA Playoffs first-round foe Orlando Magic (February 10, February 23 and April 13), three games against the defending Eastern Conference Champion Miami Heat (January 2, February 12 and March 7) and the Hawks' only game against the NBA Champion Dallas Mavericks in the regular season finale on April 26 at 8 p.m. ET. In addition, the network will also televise this year's annual Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday game scheduled for Monday, January 16 against the Toronto Raptors at 4 p.m. ET. In all, SportSouth will have 32 games from Philips Arena and 33 road contests.

Dominique Wilkins returns to the broadcast booth for the fourth straight season and joins Bob Rathbun who is entering his 16th season as the Hawks' TV voice. Jerome Jurenovich will once again man the sidelines. Andre Aldridge will make his debut as the host of Hawks Live this season alongside analyst Mike Glenn.
