Zaza Pachulia Signing To Play In Turkey During NBA Lockout

When we last heard from Zaza Pachulia he was playing in the FIBA Eurobasket where he suffered a lower leg injury and missed the remainder of the tournament. It looks like the injury has healed as he is headed to Turkey to play for Galatasaray during the NBA Lockout.

Days after qualifying for the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Regular Season, newcomer Galatasaray of Turkey announced on Friday the return of big man Zaza Pachulia to Europe's top competition.

Pachulia joins a large group of NBA players and hopefuls that have headed overseas during the NBA Lockout. Most, like Pachulia, have an NBA opt out clause in their contract where they can immediately return once the lockout ends. Others like the Nuggets J.R. Smith and Wilson Chandler have signed contracts in China and are expected to remain there for the entire season.

Zaza Pachulia appeared in 79 games with the Atlanta Hawks last season while averaging 4.4 points and 4.2 rebounds.
