Atlanta Dream All-Star forward Angel McCoughtry picked up another accolade on Tuesday as it was announced that she was selected All-WNBA First Team for the first time in her career. McCoughtry finished second in the WNBA in scoring at 21.6 points per game and was third in steals. She previously named to the WNBA All-Defensive Team for the second consecutive season.
McCoughtry is joined on the first team by league MVP from the Indiana Fever Tamika Catchings, Connecticut Sun center Tina Charles, Phoenix Mercury guard Diana Taurasi and Minnesota Lynx guard Lindsay Whalen.
Second team selections include Chicago Sky center Sylvia Fowles, Phoenix Mercury forward Penny Taylor, Minnesota Lynx forward Seimone Augustus, Seattle Storm guard Sue Bird and New York Liberty guard Cappie Pondexter.
2011 WNBA MVP Tamika Catchings was the top vote-getter with 187 points. Angel McCoughtry finished second with 172 points just ahead of Diana Taurasi (168 points) and tina Charles (166).
