Game Preview:
The Pistons come in having lost four straight and eight of their last nine games. To say that the Pistons are in a volatile state would be an understatement. Players have been shuffled in and out of the rotation weekly it seems and the clock appears to be ticking on coach John Kuester. The Hawks conversely have won eight out of ten games with the losses coming in Miami and San Antonio. While the news of Joe Johnson taking jump shots on the Hawks practice court yesterday was a welcomed sight, Michael Cunningham also reports that Josh Powell (knee), Mo Evans (knee), and Al Horford (hand) all missed part of practice yesterday. Everyone is expected to be ready to play tonight.
Keys to the Game:
Rebound and punish the Pistons in the open court. Detroit will attack the offensive glass and the Hawks should be able to take advantage on the break if they can control the boards. Detroit is a desperate team and if the Hawks can take the fight to them early they may go away with little more than a whimper. Let them hang around though and this could be a tough one to pull out at the end.
