Game Preview:
The Hawks snapped a four game losing streak with a 111-105 victory over the Timberwolves on Sunday. The head to Indiana to face a 4-4 Pacers team that is a little banged up themselves. The Pacers come into the game ranked tenth in team scoring at 102 points per game which is one spot ahead of Atlanta who is eleventh.
Keys to the Game:
The Pacers play a more free wheeling style of offense. It isn't "seven seconds or less quick" but they do like to get out and score. In a game like this, it is easy for the Hawks to get lured into the outscore the other team mentality while forgetting defense all together. This Pacers team is going to have a hard time matching up with Al Horford, Josh Smith, and Joe Johnson and the Hawks need to be on the attack rather than settling for playing the way Indy wants to. Darren Collison and Tyler Hansbrough are nursing tweaked ankles and may or may not play. This is another road game that you would classify as winnable yet the Hawks are going to have to go out and make plays to bring home the victory.
