Predicted bane of the Hawks' existence: Al Harrington
Game Preview:
The Knicks won the last meeting between these two teams, as Al Harrington continued to torment his former team. He's averaging 25 points against us this year, and hasn't struggled very much to get his shots. An early Josh Smith ejection in that game left Atlanta short-handed in the frontcourt, but the Knicks' ability to rain threes from the backcourt was really the deciding factor.
While the Hawks dropped a real heartbreaker up in Cleveland, the Knicks dropped a game to the New Jersey Nets, helping them to their third win. Somewhat surprisingly, this is a Knicks team that remains in playoff contention, just one game behind Charlotte and Milwaukee and two games behind Chicago. Expect another fairly high-paced meeting tonight, and plenty of post-game quotes about defense while its presence seems lacking.
Go Hawks!
