Hawks Injury Report: Marvin Williams is out, and Acie Law has a hurt back but probably will not play regardless.

Lakers Injury Report: Kobe Bryant has a bum ankle, and I expect him to play, but even if he doesn't, the Hawks have proved a team without its best player is no reason to get one's hopes up.

Predicted bane of the Hawks existence: Lamar Odom, yea I said it.

Game Preview:

I copy and paste the last game game thread to start the next, just filling in the new blanks, and the opposing team's record just keeps getting better and better. It kind of hurts my feelings.

This is the kind of game the Hawks win. The one they are not suppose to. The one that keeps you from falling off the cliff, writing fan posts with far too many cuss words, calling for people's heads, it is the one that restores hope. That being said, I don't think the Hawks win this afternoon. I just want to make clear that if they do, I had some foresight into it without any guts to stand by that. And if they lose, I will just say I told you so.

Keys to the game:

  1. Call me crazy, but I always think Al Horford can have the advantage over Pau Gasol. It may not happen, but physical play on both ends of floor can knock Pau out of his game. Horford just needs the opportunity.
  2. Josh Smith plays defense.
  3. Hot Flip. The Lakers' bench is going to score. Our one bench scorer therefore needs to do so.
  4. Joe is going to play 40 minutes. Kobe Bryant is not. Joe needs to take advantage in the difference.

What better way to spend a Sunday afternoon than in the comments. Prepare for a heavy Louisville bias from me.

Go Hawks.
