After a three-game absence, Kyle Korver is back.
During his pregame remarks, Atlanta Hawks head coach Mike Budenholzer indicated that Korver would play and start barring any unforeseen circumstances. This is, quite obviously, a significant addition for the Hawks, who are coming off back-to-back losses at the close of a West Coast trip, and Korver's presence is an undeniable lift.
Korver suffered a broken nose during a win over the Los Angeles Lakers a week ago, and it was widely expected that he would return following the trip. The 34-year-old sharpshooter is averaging 12.4 points per game on the season, but his efficiency remains off the charts (49.6% from the field, 50.1% from three) and Korver's ability to stretch opposing defenses has been sorely missing in the recent past.
The Hawks and Spurs will tip-off at 3:00 pm ET at Philips Arena, in what is San Antonio's only trip to Atlanta this season. Stay tuned.
