Dennis Schröder continued his stint with the German National team on Monday as he put up 23 points in a five quarter scrimmage against Finland. Germany defeated Finland 74-67 in an official exhibition on Sunday but the two teams were back on the court again Monday.
The two teams played five, 10-minute quarters in what was described as very hot and difficult conditions. Germany won three of the 10 minute sessions. Schröder finished with seven points and seven assists in the official exhibition but exhibited the scoring ability in the scrimmage that we saw during his stint at the Vegas Summer League with his 23 points.
Germany begins group play at Eurobasket qualifying on August 10. They are grouped with Poland, Austria and Luxembourg and will play each opponent twice. The Top 2 finishers in the group will advance to the next round.
