Atlanta travels to Washington as the staggering Hawks limp over to the Beltway to take a crack at a youthful and invigorated Wizards team who is hungry for a top seed. John Wall may devour everybody by halftime. We'll see.
The situation is dire....in New York! The Hawks have been in the tank for almost two months and are still two games ahead of the Knicks for the eighth seed.
I'm still going to assume that's a good thing. Hard to tell.
The Wizards are sixth but can smell the blood of the teams (Chicago, Brooklyn) in front of them. John Wall can look into your heart, see what you had for dinner and then is ready to toss you aside as he looks to plunder all he faces. True story.
The Hawks, on the other hand, are just staggering around, figuratively of course, looking for a place to lie down as healthy players take turns trying to carry the load.
So if that isn't enough to dissuade you, consider the NCAA tournament is still going. Still, if you're here, that's a jewel in your crown when you arrive into Hawks heaven, where all the greats of Hawks past and present will greet you personally to play some ball.
