Hawks to sign Cartier Martin for remainder of season, according to report

The Atlanta Hawks will reportedly sign Cartier Martin for the remainder of the season.

Antawn Jamison's stay in Atlanta will apparently be a short one. RealGM's Shams Charania reports that the Atlanta Hawks will sign Cartier Martin for the remainder of the season sometime on Friday.

Martin was waived by the Hawks on Thursday just hours before his 2nd 10-day contract was set to expire. The Hawks agreed to a deal with the Clippers to absorb the salary of Antawn Jamison and cash. Jamison will apparently be bought out to make room for Martin on the roster.

The Hawks have also recalled guard Jared Cunningham from the Bakersfield Jam of the NBA D-League. Atlanta is facing all kinds of injury concerns and Cunningham is being brought back as emergency depth. He is averaging 16.5 points and 5.0 assists in 22 games with the Jam this season.
