An Englishman In Crisis!

Hi,

My name's Sam, I'm a 29 year-old guy living in the North West of England. I've found myself becoming more and more addicted to basketball over the past two years or so, and I'm getting to the stage where I want to nail down a team to support.

The Hawks appeal to me as Atlanta seems like a cool place to visit, and I've enjoyed watching players like Jeff Teague and Kyle Korver in the past year or two. But I'm a bit concerned about the future of the franchise, as it seems like Atlanta is more fundamentally a football/baseball town than basketball.

So I just wanted to get a bit of input from more experienced NBA viewers and Hawks fans about what it is they love about the team, the atmosphere at the arena, things like that, as well as the buzz the team has in Atlanta.

As someone with no natural ties to any particular place in the U.S., any insight into what it's like to be a Hawks fan and the future of the franchise will be hugely helpful.

Thanks!
