According to a report, Ivan Johnson has signed with the Zhejiang Golden Bulls and will play next season in China. (H/T to Hoops Hype)
Johnson spent the last two seasons with the Atlanta Hawks where he performed well off the bench as a reserve big man. However, Atlanta declined to issue him a qualifying offer this summer and Johnson found little interest on the open market. He had reportedly received multiple offers to play overseas.
Johnson's career has been well traveled and often times bumpy but he quickly became a fan favorite in Atlanta thanks in part to his rough and tumble physical play. There is no word on the contract details and whether or not it contains an out that would allow him to return to the NBA this season.
