ESPN.com's Andy Katz reports that San Diego State's Jamaal Franklin is still hampered by an ankle injury and is unlikely to workout prior to the NBA Draft. Franklin is however conducting visits and the Atlanta Hawks is currently on his list of teams.
Jamal Franklin still out with a left ankle injury. Can only shoot. Likely won't risk working out. Visit list: Bos, NY, BK, Utah, Clev, Atl.

Franklin has been a popular name associated with the Atlanta Hawks and is scheduled to visit a wide range of teams who all pick in the same range as Atlanta. The lack of a workout could hurt him but if he can shoot then that could help alleviate some of the concerns that teams likely have about him.
As we discussed last night, Franklin is an intriguing option with a large wingspan that could conceivably become an option at the small forward position. During his introductory press conference, new Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer used the word competitor more than once and that seems to describe Franklin well.
Here is a look at DraftExpress' scouting report video on Franklin:
