Long time reader, first time poster. Wanted to throw three names that Ferry and Coach Bud should take a strong look this off season at the center, small forward and shooting guard from cap strapped Playoff teams.
Center Andray Blatche - I (along with many, many others) have championed the concept of moving Al Horford back to his natural power forward position. Blatche is 6'11, 260lbs and made $3.5 million last season in Brooklyn. His game seemed to take major steps forward last season and he's finally looking like his game is maturing at the age of 26. Per game averages of 10.2 points (on 52% from the field) and 4.8 rebounds in only a shade over 19 minutes per game.
Small Forward Corey Brewer - Strong and wiry defender who has carved out a niche coming off the bench for the Nuggets last season. Averaging 12.1 points and 2.9 rebounds in 24 minutes per game. He is a versatile guy that made $3.2 million last year.
Shooting Guard Marco Belineli - Sure, the Bulls could (wisely) not pick up Rip Hamilton's $5 million option for next season and find a way to keep Belineli but his performance in the Playoffs will likely bring the 6'5 versatile guard offers of more than his $1.9 million he fetched from Chicago.
Those are my thoughts, definitely interested in yours.
