The early returns on the NBA All-Star ballot are in and surprise...... there is no Atlanta Hawks player in sight. To get a little more in detail no Atlanta Hawks player is currently in the Top 15 in either the frontcourt or the backcourt. No Al Horford, no Paul Millsap, no Kyle Korver and no Jeff Teague.
Really I'm not very surprised given that the Hawks tend to fly under the radar. Their 11-11 start isn't generating a lot of buzz but come on. Surely Millsap or Horford are more deserving of a vote than an injured Tyson Chandler or the corpse of Paul Pierce right? Maybe?
Even worse is the backcourt results where Rajon Rondo has amassed more than 80,000 votes and has yet to play a game this season. Mario Chalmers is 10th for crying out loud.
