What have we done??

NOTE: this is based on the current rumor that dwight deal is close to done.

if the Hawks do not let Joe go to the nets , Deron Williams does not sign with the nets ( no way he is signing with them after 2 years of frustrations and losing) and Dwight does not even consider the nets. So basically we have helped the Nets create another BIG 3. as much as i like the Joe trade, I think we messed up. We will now have 2 super teams in the East(Miami and Nets). So what are the chances the Hawks creates another super team that can beat the Heat or Nets in the next 2 to 3 yrs? close to zero.

This again puts us in the same place where we have been for the last 5 years for the next 5 years.A ceiling of the 2nd round exit. We have not even considered teams like Chicago and Indiana. A look at the big time free agents for next year shows that only Chris Paul will be available and the chances of him leaving the Clippers is very slim

So hawks fans what exactly have we done? How does the trade make us better if we have helped create a team that we cannot beat to get to our goal?

Help me out here. I just don't see how this trade was a good idea especially since it was with the NETS. the truth of the matter is that the NETS needed that deal way more than we did. We even helped them more by not adding any good players into the mix thereby giving them additional assets to do the Dwight deal.

Good luck fellow Hawks fans ..here to more years of 2nd round ceilings.
