Do You Really Want A Draft Day Trade?

Look around us. We see lottery picks being traded for Gerald Wallace and Baron Davis. We see Chase Budinger netting the #18 pick in the 1st rd when I am pretty sure that he was not even picked that high in his draft. We see some expirings getting labeled as good and some as bad. Like I see some posters saying Maggette's is good but Josh's is not good. Maggette's netted the Cats a future 1st, but no team wants Josh's expiring because they really want him on a long term contract. The point is with all these different views and everyone trying to angle for there betterment do you really want to trade a asset like Josh or Al?

I finally see the light you can't trade Josh or Al because you can't get value. If Budinger can get you #18 then Josh or Al should bring you 5 x's what he brings. If Maggette's expiring can net you a 1st rd pick. Josh's expiring should net you multiple lottery picks.

The final point is all you can do in this situation is set your price and stand firm. It is not about making a trade at this point it is about doing good business for your franchise.
