With the rumor of trading Josh Smith for Rockets, I started to think it may be a good idea... I mean I love josh, but the Hawks will only go as far as Josh progresses and he doesn't seem like he's going to be a championship player as the best player on a team and i firmly believe that Josh is the best player on the team.. The hawks win as long as josh is playing.. but they lost without him.. even with horford and jj out the hawks still won a good amount.. now here's the thing.. I've heard that Josh should be traded for the number 2 pick and also the houston rumor for one 1st round pick and Kevin Martin. If the Hawks get kevin martin and another first round pick as well as their own.. we may be a championship contender as long as we use the pick right. I mean the Hawks may end up with Jarred Sullinger, who's stock has been falling but I see him as a Kevin Love type. Also Marvin is a better player than Chase Budinger, which most people will agree.. even so they are on the same level.. Chase was traded for the 18th pick.. I know he has a much better contract, but Marvin's contract is expiring.. If the Hawks can trade Marvin for a first round pick, and trade josh for the second pick and trade down OR trade to houston for Martin and the 14th pick, I believe they can quickly rebuild into a new young contending team. I really like Jeremy Lamb. He's a hometown kid and he's like a Mini Kevin Durant with a monster 6'11" wingspan.. If we can have a team of Jeremy Lamb and MAY BE reach for Drummond.. then we'll have 2 former teammates as well as a the best center prospect since Oden which will allow horford to move down to the 4..

however, I'd still like to trade away joe.. but that just seems impossible.. May be we can have 3 picks this year and draft a legitimate sf and may be some prospects in the second round.. and just have JJ come off the bench.. but we didn't pay jj the max to come off the bench, which will be a problem. However I'm all in for just amnesty and rebuilding..

Trading Josh is starting to look really good to me.. because either we release Joe or he comes off the bench.. on the team i just wrote, which would give me a really good feeling~only if we didn't trade that other second rounder..
