(From SB Nation Atlanta - Kris Willis) The Atlanta Hawks have reportedly made an offer to Danny Ferry to replace Rick Sund as the team's general manager according to a report by Yahoo's Adrian Wojnarowski.

According to Wojnarowski Ferry and Atlanta have engaged in serious talks and although no deal was completed by Sunday afternoon the two sides were making progress towards an eventual agreement. Ferry had been also rumored as to be in the running for Philadelphia's gm position but has since turned his attention to the Hawks job.
Ferry would replace Rick Sund who is expected to either retire or take on an advisory position with the franchise. Sund's contract expires on June 30 which is two days after the NBA Draft.
