Josh Smith suffered some sort of knee injury during Atlanta's Game 2 loss and left the game with about four minutes to go in the fourth quarter. Smith headed straight to the locker room. He was long gone by the time the media was allowed into the locker room. Yahoo Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski reports that Smith has a sprained patella ligament and will have an MRI exam on Wednesday.

Obviously the Hawks can't afford to lose Josh Smith for any period of time especially given the situation with Zaza Pachulia and Al Horford. Best case scenario is that the MRI comes back negative and Smith gets tagged with the day-to-day label. The question is that even if he is able to play how much will the knee slow him.
