In this case no news is not good news when it involves Zaza Pachulia and his foot injury. Larry Drew told Michael Cunningham before Sunday's game with the Knicks that he was unsure if Pachulia would be ready for the start of the playoffs. While the team lists Pachulia as day-to-day there hasn't been really any talk of a timetable for his return.

"I'm hoping so. He's certainly doing better than, from my understanding, what they had anticipated. There is some progress with the injury and where he is with it."

Atlanta has been hammered with injuries this season but especially at the center position. Al Horford was lost eleven games into the campaign and reserve Jason Collins missed a long stretch with an elbow injury. Perhaps at this juncture it is Pachulia's injury that is the most critical. Zaza has filled in admirably at the center position with Horford out but Atlanta can ill-afford to enter a first round matchup with the Celtics without Pachulia.
