NBA Trade Rumors: Al Horford for Danny Granger. Who says no?

(Editor's Note) Let's have some fun this NCAA Title Monday -- Promoted from FanPost -- What say you, Hawks Nation? Ready to cash in Al Horford's Two-Time All-Star stock?

I asked this question on the AJC blog and got more nos than yeses. Let's see what y'all got.

Would you trade Al for Granger straight up?

(more after the jump)

Advantages for the Hawks:

-for the first time in a long time you would have 5 starters each playing their optimal position (Teague, Joe, Granger, Josh, Zaza)

-everyone in the starting lineup would be a good starter (unlike now, where Kirk or Marvin has to start)

-Granger next to Joe and Josh would give the Hawks another guy who can create his own shot that defenses have to account for

-Granger gets to the free throw line and stretches the floor, both of which are weaknesses for the Hawks currently

-Granger would make teams like the Bulls and Sixers pick their poison as to who they will guard with their wing defender (Deng, Iguodala)

Disadvantages for the Hawks:

-Granger is having his worst season in several years and Al is probably the better player right now

-Granger is a weak rebounder for his position (don't know whether his D is good or not)

-Big man depth is hard to replace, and trading Al would leave the undersized Ivan as the only viable backup C on this team, with limited cap space to find more quality depth inside

Why the Pacers would do it:

-David West can become a free agent after this season and Al is younger and arguably better

-Paul George is probably a better fit at SF and many rumors say the Pacers might use their cap space to go after Eric Gordon to be their SG in free agency; sliding George over to SF would squeeze out Granger

-If they think Granger is not going to bounce back to his level of play from 2 years ago, maybe they want to sell high

Al or Granger, who you got?

(This is the first time I am doing this Fan Post thing so if I screwed up something I apologize)
