Atlanta's Josh Smith turned in another stellar performance finishing with 30 points, 12 rebounds, four assists, two blocks, one steal and two thunderous dunks for good measure. Larry Drew talked about Smith's play of late in his post game press session:
"I know he's tired. I've been riding him. When we need baskets we put him in the post and he responds very well. When he attacks the basket he's tough to defend. I tell him, ‘Don't let people off the hook by settling for jump shots.'"
In addition to doing a little bit of everything for the Hawks, Smith has been making his free throws which bodes well for Atlanta heading into the playoffs. In his last seven games, Smith is 30 for 35 from the charity stripe.
