Atlanta Hawks Sign Erick Dampier For Remainder Of Season

After lasting through two 10-day contracts, the Hawks have officially signed center Erick Dampier for the remainder of the season.

Dampier was signed to add depth to a front court that had already lost Al Horford and Jason Collins to injury earlier this season. Over his two 10-day contracts with the club, Dampier appeared in six games averaging five minutes per contest and 1.8 rebounds per game.

ATLANTA, GA ----- The Atlanta Hawks today signed center Erick Dampier for the remainder of the season, according to Executive Vice President/General Manager Rick Sund.

The 15-year veteran has appeared in six games for the Hawks this season, after signing consecutive 10-day contracts on February 9 and February 19, averaging 1.8 rpg, 0.3 apg, 0.2 spg and 0.2 bpg in 5.0 mpg.
