Hawks Point Guard Jeff Teague Banged Up After Fall Against Pacers

Star-divide

Atlanta Hawks guard Jeff Teague walked away from a dangerous fall in last night's game against the Indiana Pacers. On the play Teague banged his right wrist on the floor and was wearing a brace during Thursday's practice.

Teague flipped up and over Pacers forward Tyler Hansbrough on a drive to the basket. Ivan Johnson was called for a foul on the play for pushing Hansbrough. Johnson was assessed a technical foul during the ensuing time out for arguing the call.

Teague has started all 26 games for the Hawks this season and is averaging 12.3 points and 5.0 assists per game. Behind Teague Atlanta has Kirk Hinrich and Jannero Pargo who just had his contract picked up for the remainder of the season. Hinrich struggled initially in his return to the court from offseason shoulder surgery but broke out against the Pacers for 17 points on 7-9 shooting in relief of Teague.

Teague had 3 fouls in the first half

and Drew didn’t bring in a tired Hinrich or Pargo. I think LD is starting to like Jeff.

Maybe he's jealous or

Maybe he’s holding Teague back so he can draft LD II

Yeah LD must think that Teague is a better combo guard than he ever was in his time in the NBA

Although, if Teague ever averages 20ppg in a season like LD did with Kansas City back in the day I’d be a very happy Hawks fan.

Bummer - that was an ugly fall

Hopefully he heals up and doesn’t have any lingering issues.

Hope he didn't suffer a concussion from the fall

As previously stated he probably wouldn’t have trained had that been the case.

Last night the refs needed protection

As they left the court for halftime, there were cops walking with them.
That was as ugly an incident as can be seen, and Indiana Pacers have officially become the team of Neanderthals who think fouling in an animalistic manner is part of the game. Phillips was truly outraged last night with that call and the foul.

They pulled this stuff with Rose last year in playoffs, they did that classless act at the end of the game in Indiana, and last night pulled this stuff on Teague.

One of these days, they are going to get hurt, and NBA has only itself for not giving warning to this team for its continued acts of animalistic aggression against all things basketball. Here is hoping Stern wakes up and reprimands this team and suspends some of their players.

I remember the last time that team was allowed classless acts and what happened in Detroit. That black mark meant this team had to let go of its players and rebuild and live in years of misery. If this is what they think will get them back in to being a consistent winning team, all they have to do is look at their own miserable history. It may be a organizational issue up there.

We hope Teague is ok

I was just glad the Hawks took it to them last night

so I didn’t have to see Lance Stephenson yapping senselessly at the end of the game

Im with you

And i Swear i hope i never hear a Pacer fan complaining about foul calls, that team fouls virtually every play on both sides and get away with a lot of horsecrap. There style of play led to Al Horford getting hurt because the refs allow them to play that brand of basketball. Sickens me

So if we need more reason to hate the Pacers..................

Ivan Johnson does not buy ground beef, he just takes a whole cow, runs it through his beard, and fully cooked hamburgers come out.

Joe made the AS team. Iggy also made it, and I think Deng is going before Josh.
