Van Gundy on the 2012 Hawks: "They are different without Horford. They’ve moved Josh Smith back to the four spot and now they’ve got a little more shooting in the floor and they shoot it very well."
If Coach Van Gundy can keep BBDavis’ stamina in check he will be key for keeping Smith out the paint and forcing Smith to dribble around his size.
I don’t see who draws the double teams here and it looks like LD will try to go small ball to force easy points with Josh and avoid his atrocious offense.
I suspect Jason and Quentin Richardson might beat up on Willie. Unless Stackhouse can step up.
Offensive Matchups seem completely changed without Joe. Defensively look for Smith on Turkoglu again. Unless LD loses his marbles again.

Have pity guys. I was rewatching the game till 2:00 last night. I would say it was winnable but that requires coaching leadership or player leadership.
We can explain a lot of Josh’s shot selection as a PF pressure release but I cannot understand why he never calls for a elbow PnR with Teague.
With us down he couldn’t call that play once? I saw Teague run it with Dampier (no footspeed to roll).
Smith is not a good post player. However he is a devastating PnR finisher because how unique he can turn the corner. Yet I believe he never ran it once last game.
That is a staple of NBA offense so he must know that play is great for us. I saw Dampier run it with Teague so Smith is waning on me.
He must love staying on the perimeter and racking up those assists. He is not going to have the advantage in the post everynight. He could be a superstar though without it. How? Clearout one side completely and Elbow Screen and Roll.
His post game is mediocre. We need to see some pick and roll for him to take the next step.
