On the show Jason and Bill discuss the Hawks small forward situation with with complaints being heard by both of Tracy McGrady and Marvin Williams. Jason also points out that there is time to fix some of the ailments and points to the struggles of Kirk Hinrich and the effect his return has had on Jeff Teague.
They also take a look at Joe Johnson's injury and how that effects the Hawks over the next two games and Jason gives his prediction on whether or not the Hawks will make any substantial moves at the trade deadline.

Thank you, sir.
I do take that as high praise. No sarcasm there either.

Wooo, go Jason!
You always came off to me as someone who would have a country hick kind of accent, I guess I was wrong. Your voice surprised me, haha.
But I agreed with everything you said, but the Pau Gasol for Joe Johnson trade. I wouldn’t do it. I know it gets rid of Joe’s contract, but that trade doesn’t improve the Hawks and make them a contender. It solves the big man problem, but then the Hawks will have a guard problem.

Voice profilingly Rec'd!
…and thank you Will!
Gotta take the big for a small, especially when trading that small relieves you of 100M in salary. You can trade Gasol for a small that has a better long term prognosis than Joe, if you are so inclined.

Couple points
1. You say you don’t want Sund to make a hasty move? What is hasty? I mean we need a big man like 3 years now at least. Has he not had enough time to ponder?
2. If I add Marvin and T-Mac minutes, I am short 7-8 minutes. Do we play 4 on 5 for that duration? Or who fills the time when Marvin was not injured?
Otherwise, the segment on Teague is required listening
I think every team in the league would like to add a big man
Its just that they aren’t that readily available. I think the offseason will be interesting because Josh enters the final year of his deal. They can’t field a team and sign him to a new deal without going way into the tax. So something somewhere will have to give.
Combine that with the status of Sund and Drew with no lockout and this should be an interesting summer to say the least around here.

Thank you, Paul!
1. Hasty in terms of Sund panicking about the season and dealing someone like Smoove for 50 cents on the dollar.
2. Ha! I meant using the Joe minutes to help pour in some extra minutes for both Marvin and T-Mac (play them together -shocking!). I would assume the great Willie Green will get minutes, too.

Well if we stand pat with Hinrich that is $8 million coming off the books. Or we trade him for a TPE and a player.
Smith gets maybe $13-$15 million a year? Iguodala/Tyson money. Even with the draft picks We can field a team without going deep into the lux tax.
pg Jeff Teague
sg Joe Johnson
sf Josh Smith
sf Marvin Williams
c Al Horford
----
* {#40 Pick PF Jon Leuer is better than Marvin Williams and Hinrich cost us the pick}
*2012 NBA Draft: Hawks draft SF/PF/C Renardo Sidney
Nice job man
Thank you for mentioning the McGrady marvin PT issue and especially about the rebounding. Im glad our voices are heard and you mentioned it.
Ivan Johnson doesn't cut his grass, he stares at it and dares it to grow.......
