(SB Nation Atlanta, Jonathan Tjarks) According to a report from ESPN.com's Chris Broussard, Atlanta Hawks SF Marvin Williams is the latest player to express his displeasure with the situation in Atlanta:
Frustration abounds in Atlanta right now, and sources say Marvin Williams wants out because he wants to play somewhere where he'll have an increased role offensively. Williams is averaging just 9.6 points per game, his lowest since his rookie season.
The former No. 2 overall pick has never been able to live up the expectations of being selected ahead of Chris Paul and Deron Williams in 2005, but he has carved out a nice career as a role-playing small forward.
However, he's never had the chance to be a primary offensive option, with a career usage rating of only 18.1.
At only 25, he's still relatively young, but it's hard to say what his trade value is considering that he's owed $16 million over the next two seasons.
