them all for Orlando. I don’t think Ryan Anderson is gonna be doing some hard core boarding or Glen Davis. Brandon Bass was a little tougher and harder to keep off the boards. We will be ok if we contain their 3pt shooting

Hopefully our shots are dropping tonight and theirs are not. The Magic supporting cast really bugs me.
Big hopes that JT has no lingering effects from the fall last game, and that Kirk’s game was the beginning of a nice hot stretch.

larry drew has Josh Smith on Turkoglu and Marvin on Ryan Anderson I love it. dont like the offense tho, and wish we had a true stretch 4/5 to post up and shoot over switches instead of Marvin. Van Gundys just countering with Ry Anderson's size on Josh.
Not sure if McGrady can cover Ry Anderson or rebound against him.

Some guys don’t take every open shot because their feet aren’t set, they don’t catch the ball cleanly, or they don’t like the angle of their shot. These guys sometimes create points for their teammates.

Because the opposing defense actually has to respect his ABILITY on the court, instead of willie Green and Janerro Pargo. So instead of sagging off they actually have to play him

The sad thing is that I can almost understand why he’s not taking it inside. Against Dwight Howard, it might not always be there. But that doesn’t explain why he’s taken as many shots as any other TWO players.

Most of his minutes were played with JJ on the court with him

He also did play for a bit without Dwight on the floor and, IIRC, he didn’t take an interior shot during that stretch. So let’s not make too many excuses for him.

I mean, I don’t get what you’re getting at. Perhaps, if he was the only effective basketball player on the floor (and please don’t pretend like that’s where all his jumpshots came from) then perhaps he shouldn’t compound the issue by also taking poor shots.

Once Marvin Williams and Teague went out of the game, Orlando was finally able to match up and play effective defense by sagging off of Heinrich and Green/pargo when Josh went stupid with the jumpshots.

Taking Teague out to put in Willie Green was the dumbest thing Larry Drew has done. Jameer Nelson on Joe Johnson is a fucking mismatch. We saw this in the playoffs when the Hawks got swept
