It's common knowledge that Dwight wants to be liked by everyone. It is also common knowledge that Atlanta is Dwight's home. Therefore, I think it is imperative that we, the fans, let him know that we really do want him to come home. I propose that at the Hawks-Lakers home game (March 13), we start chanting during the game, "DWIGHT COME HOME!" Ideally, we would do this if we're blowing them out because it might cause Dwight to second-guess his decision to play on a struggling Lakers team. It would also piss off the Lakers (Kobe) and the rest of ESPN really bad. So, it's basically a multiple-win scenario. If we're losing to the Lakers, this idea may not be the best as it would make us seem desperate. But I feel that this chant is worth a shot. This may just be wishful thinking (since most of the "fans" in the building will be cheering for the Lakers), but I think this is one of the few opportunities in professional sports where the fans may actually have some influence on their team's future. Just an idea. Let me know what y'all think.
