Atlanta was without Al Horford and Devin Harris, but battled throughout the game to keep it close in Oakland. The Warriors proved to be too much for the Hawks in the paint and on the glass, and the Hawks missed opportunities in the second half came back to haunt them.

The Hawks made another fourth quarter comeback attempt despite being without the services of Al Horford or Devin Harris, but fell short on the road to the Warriors who dominated the glass and the paint.

The Hawks started off strong, jumping out to a 6-0 lead, but have since cooled off significantly. Outside of Kyle Korver's strong start (14 points on 5-5 shooting) and a boost from Ivan Johnson in the first quarter (7 points on 3-3), the Hawks have struggled shooting, with the rest of the team going 9-of-28 (32.1%) from the field. Atlanta needs to find an answer for David Lee who has 14 points and seven rebounds to lead the Warriors. Golden State is shooting an even 50% (20-40) from the field and have dominated the boards, out-rebounding the Hawks 22-12 (7-1 offensive). The Hawks have allowed a number of second-chance points and have not capitalized on opportunities to turn the ball over.
Josh Smith continues his struggles shooting the ball, but he has gone inside a little more, drawing a foul on one (He made both FTs!) and kicking the ball out for a Korver three on another possession late in the half, so Hawks fans need to hope he commits more to taking it inside to create shots rather than pulling long jumpers. Zaza Pachulia has struggled with just two points and two boards in Al Horford's absence, and he and Josh will need to be stronger on the glass in the second half if the Hawks are to get back into the game.

As reported by Chris Vivlamore of the AJC after Larry Drew's press conference, Al Horford (illness) and Devin Harris (hamstring) will both be inactive against the Warriors tonight, while Johan Petro will be activated to provide depth at center.

Larry Drew will start Zaza Pachulia (per Hawks official Twitter) tonight in Horford's place. This means the Hawks will have Teague, Stevenson, Korver, Smith, and Pachulia up against the Warriors (who have their own health issues in the frontcourt). If Mike Scott were ever to get minutes, tonight would be the night. I still wouldn't expect much of Mike barring a blowout, but Ivan's role will be expanded, and the Hawks will likely run small lineups at times when David Lee is moved to the center slot.
The Warriors will start Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Harrison Barnes, David Lee, and Festus Ezeli. While the Warriors are starting big, expect them to play Lee at the 5 and Carl Landry to play the 4 (as they did for a good portion of the game against Denver), which will allow the Hawks to counter with either Josh or Ivan at the five and rotate in Tolliver or Scott into the lineup at the four.

For the second consecutive game a key Hawks player will be affected by a stomach bug. Al Horford is a game-time decision for tonight's game against the Golden State Warriors. If Horford can't go then Zaza Pachulia is the likely starter at center.
Stomach illness hits Hawks again. Al Horford a game-time decision, Devin Harris out tonight vs. Warriors. #ATLHawks

Both Josh Smith and Lou Williams were game-time decisions on Monday in Portland with a similar illness. Both ended up playing with Smith scoring a team-high 19 points. Williams contributed 11 points off the bench in just over 18 minutes.
Devin Harris won't play tonight after straining his hamstring against the Trail Blazers. Without Harris, Williams becomes the back up point guard behind starter Jeff Teague. Harris absence may also open the door for Anthony Morrow to get into tonight's rotation.
The Hawks have one game remaining on this four-game trip which ends Friday in Sacramento.
