All-Star center Al Horford will sit out the second half of the Hawks preseason game against the Mavericks with a sore calf. Horford had four points and two rebounds in the first half on 1-4 shooting. With just one preseason game remaining before the regular season opens, Atlanta doesn't want to take any chances with Horford.

Atlanta came into Saturday's game beat up. Jeff Teague and Zaza Pachulia are both sitting out the game with ankle injuries that were suffered in the team's win over New Orleans on Thursday. John Jenkins is sitting out his second straight game with a hand contusion.
Without Horford in the lineup, Atlanta opened the second half with a lineup of Devin Harris, Kyle Korver, DeShawn Stevenson, Josh Smith and Anthony Tolliver. Ivan Johnson saw most of the minutes behind Horford in the first half. Johan Petro could get some in game action in the second half with the team down both Horford and Pachulia.
