that said, on the subject of trading Josh, yes, they should but that doesn’t mean they should take pennies on the dollar just to get rid of him like a Jailblazer or albatross contract. He’s still a good player, and if he showed strong signs of correcting what’s ailed him, I’d change my mind. But my frustration and belief that he’ll never learn has grown to the point where I’d absolutely listen to offers, and think any combination of a quality C, quality SF, quality SG, and/or potential lottery picks in 2013 would have to be considered if not accepted. We should trade Smith, but obviously not if it doesn’t improve the team going forward and chances of future success.

I don’t object to the team making a good trade that involves anyone on the team. I’m not at the point of thinking we need to proactively try to trade anyone, either.
